An Adventure with Ian (20th February)

Ian kindly offered to give me a lift to see Sam in the Eating Disorder Unit. He drove me there and back. It was really nice of him.  It was a bit of an awkward journey, as I am not a very talkative person. I guess it was okay, he didn’t boot me out of his car because of boredom. lol. I think I was more talkative on the way back.

Anyway, it was good seeing Sam as usual, but before I even stepped into the unit the nurse was being a bitch, saying I was supposed to come during visiting hours. It didn’t stop me last time, especially as I am coming from London. Sam did tell the morning staff, but obviously it wasn’t clear to the afternoon staff.

Sam was okay on the front, but obviously annoyed at patients and staff being dicks. She was fuming about a reply letter she received from complaints department. She was pretty much destroyed by it, and didn’t want to live in the same place, which is understandable. It pretty much read that she was attention seeking and a liar, even though her Mum and Police did give complaints also,  but they seemed to have disappeared out of thin air.

I gave her loads of presents as I was in hypomania mode, so bought her tons. I hope they have cheered her up. I usually don’t spend much money. I used to ask her what the fuck she spends it on, lol.

Sam is also pleased to be moving where her EDU is, and is pleased not to deal with her current team, as they have messed her about a lot! She has also has a place in supported housing.

Just before I went home, I needed the piss, but the staff locked the doors to the toilets as it was supper time .. so I was busting for the piss. Ended up having to wait until Ian and I got to motorway services.

When I got home sister ended up talking about holidays for 2 hours. We ended up booking a UK holiday to Center Parcs for a few days. Woop.

Nothing exciting as usual lol.

She suffers from mental illness namely Schizophrenia, she called out for help at both A&E and 999 calls to the police. The services didn’t take it seriously, therefore led her to murdering again.

You wonder what happens in A&E departments especially with the psychiatric liason and how good/bad they are. Especially when sufferers go in, in crisis, and end up not getting support. No wonder individuals end up doing dangerous things, and committing suicide etc..

Visiting Sam (16th February)

In the morning before visiting Sam.. I was rushing around putting films and TV series she may like on a USB key for her to watch. I was fast at putting make-up on before heading on my journey to see Sam. I don’t usually put make-up on, only when I am hypomanic. You got to love Bipolar at times.

I don’t know how I dealt with the journey as I was anxious and exhausted from doing so much whilst being hypomanic. I managed to keep myself occupied by writing in notebook and reading on the train to Victoria. I don’t usually do those things due to Social Anxiety. I have no idea how that works, but yes! When getting to Victoria, managed to buy myself some Wasabi sushi set, before getting on the coach to see Sam.

I was a bit scared of getting on the coach, as I haven’t been on that route for a while. I was worried about having to ask for ticket, the long journey and when to get off the coach. I still managed to do it, probably because of the hypomania. I was still worried about having panic attacks. I can still picture my panic attack on the underground a while back.

I got her a special Valentine’s card. I thought it was appropriate with a badge saying “The most gorgeous person ever.” I hope she liked it. She also loved receiving a few presents. Whilst I was there, she spoke of a police man working as a staff nurse there now. Sam being inquisitive about police and their job, asked way too many questions of what she has experienced etc. I am sure it passed time anyway!

On the way home I managed to get the coach after waiting forever for it, was awkward being crowded though. Next time I will make sure I leave at 3.30 or something. I didn’t get home until around 9pm I think. It was a good day seeing Sam. 🙂
